Hastings Rugby & Sports Club Inc is also affiliated to the New Zealand Marist Rugby Federation which has some twenty eight member clubs from Whangarei in the north through to Invercargill in the south. Through this valuable connection, Hastings RSC regularly has players from these affiliates who move to the region join our club. Players moving out of the Hawke's Bay region also often join up with these affiliates when they move to a new area. We endeavour to inform our outgoing players of these affiliate 'connections' and where possible arrange an introduction.

This NZ Marist affiliation also allows the club's members the opportunity to be selected for the national New Zealand Marist teams at both Senior and Colts levels, and to be able to participate in both NZ Marist sevens and fifteen aside annual tournaments. Our club regularly attends the annual NZ Marist Sevens Tournament in Wellington in February each year. Most years we have at least one player selected to tour with NZ Marist sevens team to Samoa.

Our club also attends the annual NZ Marist Spillane 15’s Tournament and this year will contest the Ham Cumming Cup section of the  tournament.

We also send a selected player (under 23 years of age) on the annual NZ Marist Colts Tour which is normally staged in August.
