For the second year in a row, Jacob Devery has been selected for the NZ Maori team who will play against a Japan XV in Nagoya, Japan this Saturday 27th June. Last Saturday, Jacob played in the Super Rugby Final for the Hurricanes, coming on in the second half as replacement hooker.
Jacob was selected last year for the NZ Maori and played in matches in New Zealand against a Japan XV and the touring Scotland team. Jacob was co- captain last year of the Hawkes Bay Magpies and is likely to be captain this year. He was also captain in 2020 of our Maddison Trophy winning team at HRS.
